Hello my friends!
The last week was not so exciting. Our plan was to travel to Guwahati by train, but my boyfriend became sick right in the evening so we stayed longer at the hotel.
To be sick in India is not so funny, especially not, if mostly everthing we needed is at the school! But the most important…charcoal…at least we had with us.
After four days my boyfriend was already doing much better and so we flew to Guwahati.
Arrived there in the hotel, we took the next day off to relax and to recover from the sickness.
Wednesday afternoon we traveled to Shillong where we met a friend of mine. With him the journey went on to Cherrapunjee to the famous root bridges.
After one and a half hours we arrived there. The silence there was somehow scary. There were rarely no cars – it was just beautiful.
At the next day, the friend of mine, his wife and the two of us went to the root bridges. In my whole life I have never seen so many stairs.
The nature and bridges were like a dream. We really enjoyed the time and the silence.
The way back was really hard and after a good meal we fell very tired into our beds.
Today we drove back to Guwahati, because my boyfriend is flying back to Austria tomorrow. 🙁
For me it goes back to the school on Sunday and my life as a teacher goes on.
See you soon,
Miss Ellis
PS: It is now half time – the time is running.
