Hello my friends!
It is time again to hear from me.
At Sunday after a 5 hour car ride I arrived safely at the school and was welcomed very warmly by the kids. They missed me a lot and so did I. The first thing they wanted to see were pictures of me and my “Boy”. That’s how they call my boyfriend. After spending sometime sitting at the campfire, I went to my room and unpacked my backpack. New dresses and a lot of food is now in my closet. After that I went to bed, because I was so tired and I just wanted to sleep.
On Monday some of the kids and I went to the market. Monday is always market day and this is the only opportunity to get some stuff for your house. It takes about 40 minutes to get there, then stay for 2 hours or more and drive back again 40 minutes. Finally at home my laundry was waiting for me. Well, for you this might not be as bad as it is for me, because you have a laundry machine, but I have to do my laundry by hand. This means after a while your hand starts hurting, but there are still about two hours left until you are finished with the laundry.
When I finally finished my laundry I went outside and hang it up. Beneath the long time it takes to wash it, there is actually one good thing about doing your laundry in India. The laundry dries very fast – so I am done in 24 hours. So in the evening I can put my dry laundry back into my wardrobe.
The rest of the week nothing special happened. Class 10 is the only class that has school, because they have to study for their final exam in April. So they have three hours of studying every day. Otherwise it is quiet all day long, because we still have vacation.
So right now I have plenty of time to relax, prepare some things for the pathfinder club and spend some time with the kids.
I think I became a little bit sick, because after sunset it gets pretty cold. I think that’s the reason why I got a bad cough. Well, what should I do? Drink a lot of ginger tea and keep myself warm – even if I don’t like ginger.
See you soon
Miss Ellis
