"Everything begins with a desire." Nelly Sachs

Shortly before school starts

Hello my dear friends.

I’m sorry for writing so late and yes there were happening a few things in the last week.

Last week we finished our grading for the school. Finally. To be honest I don’t want to be a teacher and I respect all the teachers know, because it is a really hard work.

Last Tuesday six of us white people and one Indian drove to Guwahati to do some shopping. The reason why I went to Guwahati is that I have to apply for university and the network is much faster there then here in the jungle.

We left our school at 7 am which was pretty early for me. After some headache and a long drive we arrived in Guwahati. After we arrived the first thing we did was checking in in our Hotel. Right after it we went to Big Bazar to do our shopping. We spent almost 3 hours there because we had so many things to buy. Whenever we are in Guwahati we refill our kitchen stuff. We bought Cornflakes, oats, mango jam and few more things. After the big bazar we went to an electronic store and bought the last things for today.
Finally we arrived at our hotel and the first thing I did was taking a shower because go shopping by 26 degree in a loud and dusty city you just have to take a shower. It was a privilege for us jungle girls. And yes I had a headache after this day. After the shower I started applying for university.
On the next day we relaxed a little bit in the morning because the shops are opening at 10 or 11 so we had plenty of time. After chilling we went shopping again we bought some Salwars and some souvenirs too. At the evening I took a shower again and also applied for university again.
On Thursday before most of our friends left something bad happened. One of our friends wanted to pay for our taxi and she was so in hurry, don’t ask me why, and in her hurry she dropped her wallet and since then it was gone and never seen again.

Never go to the police when you are a missionary because if they found out that you are teaching they will send you back and you are not allowed to enter the country again. So after they asked us to come back to the police station to show our passports we decided to check out from our hotel as soon as possible. But before we went home again we enjoyed a perfect 4 star breakfast.

This week our old and new students will arrive and I am looking so forward to see them all again. February 13th school will start again. Let’s see what will happen.

See you soon,
